Past VF NH President Paul Lloyd (2012-2013)


In addition to serving the Veterans Foundation as a founding officer, Paul is President of the Concord Veterans Council and Past State Commander Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Department  New Hampshire, June 2011-2012.

Paul is the 2nd oldest son of Donald and Vivian Lloyd. Paul was born in Gary, IN and raised in Danforth Maine graduating from East Grand High class of 1983.

Paul joined the Maine National Guard in May 1983, attending boot camp at Fort Sill OK in July; he transferred to the NH National Guard while attending Keene State College. He joined the Navy 23 September 1985 and served until 23 November 1998 as a Boiler Technician. He was stationed on board the USS Saipan (LHA-2) and the USS Biddle (CG-34) in Norfolk Virginia, USS Sampson (DDG-10) in Mayport Fl., USS Sierra (AD-18) in Charleston South Carolina, USS Simon Lake (AS-33) forward deployed to La Maddalena Italy, USS Sacramento (AOE-1) in Bremerton Washington. He was also stationed at Great Lakes Training Command in Great Lakes IL. He earned his eligibility to the VFW on USS Sampson (DDG-10) during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. His decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4), Navy Good Conduct Medal (3), National Defense Service Medal. Navy Unit Commendation,

Paul joined the VFW in 1991, at Post 3142 in Charleston South Carolina; Transferring to Bremerton Washington Post 239 in 1996, where he served as Post Sr. Vice Commander in 1997. In 1998 Paul transferred to Concord VFW Post 1631. He has served in elected and appointed positions at the Post, District, Department and National levels earning him Allstate awards as Post Commander and Post Quartermaster.

He is a Life member of the VFW, and the VFW National Home for Children. A member of the “Cooties” Pup Tent 1 and is the Grand Inspector for the Grand of New Hampshire. He is also a long time member of the American Legion Post 45, Danforth Maine.
